This weekend four of the sailors in the team had a qualification regatta for the next year’s trials for the nations team. This was a good opportunity to sail without pressure and work on different stuff.
The regatta was sailed under difficult conditions on a small lake, shifty and puffy winds made the upwinds hard to handle. Oscar managed the conditions best and won with 3 bullets and 21 points before the second sailor, Uffe Thomasgaard, a Norwegian sailor that going to the Worlds as well. The other guys did okay and ended up: 5, Lucas, 6, Olle and 8, Marius. Victoria didn´t sail this regatta because she is 15 and will not sail Optimist next year.
Now the sailors have training on the schedule with there clubs and all five will meet again next week during the Swedish Championship in Stockholm.
Stay tuned for more updates
