Since last time the regional qualifications have been completed, and the team has been sailing in Poland last weekend.
First things first, the last of 3 qualifications regattas to next years national trials was held Sept 6-7. It was a regatta with light, shifty winds. The team made a good effort and kept great focus and ended up, as number 1,2,5,8,9. Oscar won the regatta and also the whole series.

The following weekend the sailors from the western part of Sweden (all except Victoria) had a training day in Björlanda kile. The reason for the site was that it probably has similar conditions as in Argentina. We got a great day with winds between 10-20 knots and short, choppy waves. I think the sailors learned a lot and improved their techniques! We want to thank the sailor that helped us by sailing with us!
The big event before the Worlds this fall was the Polish Championship Regatta, which was held last weekend, Sept 19-21 in Kamien Pomorski, which is the venue for the Worlds 2015. So this year it was more high quality sailors than usual. The winds were light and all racing days started with some waiting ashore. But when the wind came every day the race officials were great at getting the course in place and start racing. All five sailors made good races and got a great practice regatta before the Worlds. The results varied among the sailors, Oscar didn´t reach the podium as he did last year, but ended up 8th with Lucas behind at in 9th place. Victoria sailed well and ended up as the 5th girl. Marius and Olle ended up a bit further down in the list but made some good races during the regatta.

I am happy with the regatta, the sailors got more time to know each other and got valuable experiences before the Worlds.
Now we are looking forward to the Swedish Championship in team racing. All sailors will compete for their own clubs. Last year Lucas and his team won and the year before that Oscar and his team won, so who will win this year? We are looking forward to some great racing!
Stay tuned for more
